Get started requirements checklist

Submit a store you could defend out loud.

Short answer

Before you request the first Merchant Center review, a stranger should understand who you are, what you sell, what it costs, and how it comes back. The list below is the short version. The 144 points are the long version.

Have these live

  1. A homepage that says what you sell, in one niche you can explain.
  2. Contact, about, shipping, returns and privacy, linked in the footer, written for this store.
  3. A legal name, address, phone and email that match Merchant Center.
  4. Products with their own pages: price, currency, stock, image, buy button.
  5. A feed that points at those pages and uses real identifiers.
  6. Checkout in the same currency, with shipping shown before payment.
  7. No fake countdowns, fake reviews, or placeholder lorem ipsum.

The same day in Merchant Center

  1. Verify the domain, then claim it on this account. The verification page has the order.
  2. Type the business name, address, phone and email exactly as the footer shows them.
  3. Add shipping and returns that quote the same numbers as the website.
  4. Submit the products whose pages are finished. Leave the unfinished ones out.
  5. Read Diagnostics. Request a review when the account offers the button, not while the warnings are still open.

Questions people ask

Do I need every policy on day one?

You need the ones Google will try to read: shipping, returns, privacy, and a way to contact you. Empty templates count as missing.

How many products should I start with?

Enough to show the niche, few enough that every page is real. See the [upload limit](/get-approved/product-upload-limit/).

Can you review the store before I submit?

Yes. That is the audit, from $499. You get every point that needs work.
