Google Ads account suspended
Ads and Merchant Center are linked. They are not the same appeal.
A Google Ads suspension stops ads. A Merchant Center suspension stops Shopping offers. They often share a cause: the website. If Google says a linked Ads account is suspended, its help says to resolve the Ads suspension before the Merchant Center review can proceed. Unlinking does not clear that. We review the Shopify store and Merchant Center. We do not reinstate Google Ads accounts.
Which policy is it?
- Circumventing systems: cloaking, extra accounts, or trying to skip a review.
- Unacceptable business practices: scams, phishing, misstated business information.
- Suspicious payment: the card, the chargebacks, the billing identity.
Merchant Center misrepresentation and Ads “unacceptable business practices” can describe the same store. Fixing the store is still the right work. The Ads appeal itself is submitted in Google Ads, and Google’s suspensions overview explains how serious those policies are.
Questions people ask
Can you unsuspend my Google Ads account?
No. We do not operate Google Ads appeals. If the store is the shared problem, the Merchant Center audit lists the points on the Shopify site.
Should I unlink Ads from Merchant Center?
Google’s linked-account page says unlinking a suspended Ads account does not resolve the Merchant Center issue. Resolve Ads first, then return to Merchant Center.
Are circumventing systems and misrepresentation the same?
No. One is an Ads policy about evading review. The other is a Shopping policy about misleading offers. A store can trip both.
