Appeal

Appeal a Merchant Center suspension

Ask after the store matches. The button is not a reset.

Short answer

An appeal is a request for review inside Merchant Center. Google’s help says to choose “I fixed the issue” or “I disagree with the issue”, then Request review. The option appears on the issue when you are allowed to use it. Identity checks and an empty product source can block the button. Reviews often take up to about seven business days.

Before you click

  • The issue you are appealing is actually fixed on the site and in the feed.
  • Identity verification is done if Merchant Center asked for it.
  • The product data source is not empty. Google says to have at least one product if the source is blank.
  • You can explain what changed in a few concrete lines: address, returns window, price, unavailable products removed.
  • You are not opening a second account to get around the first.

Timing

Google’s review help says to wait about seven business days and to expect an email at the request and at the decision. Another help page describes reviews in a range of a few business days. Trust the screen you have. If the account is linked to a suspended Google Ads account, Google says the Ads suspension has to be resolved first. Unlinking it does not clear the Merchant Center issue. We do not handle Ads reinstatement.

Some issues state their own wait. A price-mismatch “abuse of network” suspension is described with a 28-day wait on Google’s page for that issue. Do not treat 28 days as the rule for every suspension.

Questions people ask

Where do I request the review?

In Merchant Center, on the issue: Needs attention, the banner, or Diagnostics, depending on what the account shows. The label is Request review.

What if I disagree?

Choose the disagree path and explain why the policy does not fit. Google still looks at the site. A disagree note on a store with a broken returns page is a weak note.

How many times can I try?

Google describes a cooldown after you have used the disagree and fix attempts. The account tells you when a new request is possible.
