Circumventing systems
Circumventing systems
A new account is not a fix. Google treats the attempt as the violation.
Circumventing systems is a Google Ads policy against evading review: cloaking, opening more accounts after a suspension, and false information during advertiser verification. Google calls it egregious and can suspend on detection. If you believe it is a mistake, the appeal is inside Google Ads. We do not file that appeal.
What the policy names
- Showing Google a different page from the one shoppers get.
- A fresh Ads account created to outrun a suspension.
- Verification details that are not true.
- Click paths that exist to hide a destination that breaks the rules.
The same instinct shows up in Merchant Center: a second account, a stripped feed, a hostname that only Google sees. Those moves make a Merchant Center appeal worse. If the website was hiding shipping, returns or a price, that is also a misrepresentation problem on the Shopping side.
Questions people ask
I already opened a new Ads account. Should I keep spending there?
Stop. Google describes multiple-account abuse as part of this policy. Go back to the suspended account and the site.
Is cloaking the same as a Shopify market?
A market that shows the right country its own price is not cloaking. A page that hides the offer from Google’s crawler is.
Can the store review help?
It can show the mismatches on the site. It is not an Ads appeal.
